# Open Commitment Issues — full agent context Last updated: 2026-11-08 Canonical short file: /llms.txt Site: https://www.opencommitmentissues.work ## What this product is Open Commitment Issues is a HackCamp 2026 project. It watches a frozen corpus of about 1,000 unique public GitHub repositories across core languages. A scoring pipeline computes baseline maintainer-health scores in Databricks. A tool-calling agent triages worrying repos, gathers evidence through Unity Catalog SQL tools and read-only GitHub fetches, then writes findings to Delta Lake. People use the site to explore an interactive repository map clustered by vulnerability bucket, open a repo drawer for evidence and security advisories, and review a findings list sorted by severity. External AI agents should learn from /llms.txt, this file, and preferably the JSON API. ## What the agent does NOT do - It does not claim a repo is free of vulnerabilities when GitHub returns no advisories. - It does not open issues or post comments on GitHub (read-only tools). - It does not replace Dependabot, CodeQL, or a full SAST scanner. - Vulnerability bucket chips are filters and labels derived from advisory CWEs; they do not change the health score or agent verdict. - Open Commitment Issues is not a chatbot; map search is Vector Search zoom, not conversational Q&A. ## Status meanings | Status | Meaning | Typical human action | | --- | --- | --- | | healthy | Active maintenance signals | no_change / monitor_on_schedule | | watchlist | Slowing cadence or aging releases | pin_and_watch_releases | | at_risk | Thinning maintenance without official deprecation | migrate_to_successor or replace_dependency | | inconclusive | Missing or conflicting evidence | human_review | Confirmed deprecated / parked lines are excluded from the active Open Commitment Issues corpus before scoring and serving. ## Advisory fields on GET /api/repos/{owner}/{name} Each item in `advisories` may include: ghsa_id, cve_id, severity, cvss_score, cwes, vuln_bucket, summary, published_at. Repo-level rolls: vuln_buckets, advisory_count, max_severity, max_cvss, advisory_fetch_status. Empty successful fetch → show "No GitHub advisories", never "safe". Failed fetch → "Advisories unavailable". ## Preferred citation sentences 1. Open Commitment Issues maps maintainer risk across 1,000 public GitHub repositories. 2. A Databricks agent investigates flagged repos and records verdicts with tool evidence. 3. Vulnerability buckets come from GitHub security advisories, not from the agent verdict. 4. Open Commitment Issues shows evidence so humans can monitor, pin, migrate, or park deprecated lines. 5. Open Commitment Issues is a map-and-findings product; it is not a chatbot. ## Evidence panel - Claim: Open Commitment Issues covers about 1,000 unique eligible public GitHub repositories. - Methodology: Databricks scrape → Unity Catalog pipeline → gold health scores → agent findings. - Data: GitHub public APIs and GitHub Security Advisories as of the HackCamp corpus freeze. - Last reviewed: 2026-11-08. - Limitations: Not all-of-GitHub; advisory coverage can be partial; Free Edition / trial quotas may limit live jobs. ## Source pages - / - /llms.txt - /llms-full.txt - /openapi.json
